Access Tariff 2.0 TD

Since June 1, 2021, domestic access tariffs have been unified into a single tariff: the 2.0 TD tariff.

With the evolution of smart grids and the integration of IoT devices in the home, the 2.0 TD tariff offers flexibility and control, allowing you to manage consumption through real-time monitoring applications and systems.

What is the 2.0 TD Access Tariff?

The 2.0 TD access tariff is a modality that simplifies the access regime to the electrical grid for domestic consumption.

This tariff offers two capacity periods and three consumption periods (off-peak, peak, and valley) that remain constant throughout the year. Thanks to its structure, this tariff allows you to optimize your energy expenditure by adjusting it to your daily habits.

What are the Timings of the 2.0 TD Tariff?

The 2.0 TD tariff is structured into consumption and capacity periods, allowing you to manage both the fixed and variable parts of your bill. It is important to understand that your bill will always show two concepts:

  • The contracted capacity, which is the fixed term of the bill and represents the amount of energy you can use simultaneously (for example, how many appliances you can use at the same time).
  • The consumed energy, which is the variable term and changes depending on what you consume.

The current timings for capacities below 15 kW in the Peninsula, Canary Islands, and Balearic Islands (2.0 TD tariff) are:

Energy Periods

In detail, the three consumption periods that make up the structure of the 2.0 TD tariff are:

  • Peak: Hours of maximum demand, with the highest energy cost.
  • Off-peak: An intermediate period, with moderate rates.
  • Valley: Hours of low demand, where reduced rates apply to both variable consumption and the fixed part.

Capacity Periods

In the 2.0 TD access tariff, you have the possibility to contract two capacity terms to adapt them to your daily needs:

  • Peak-off-peak period: Weekdays from 08:00 to 24:00. This time frame concentrates the most daily activity.
  • Valley period: Weekdays from 00:00 to 08:00, weekends, and holidays. It offers a reduced capacity cost, allowing you to save on both the fixed and variable parts of the bill.

Can I Contract Two Electrical Capacities with the 2.0 TD Tariff?

Yes, with the 2.0 TD access tariff, it is possible to contract two different electrical capacities. This option allows you to assign a capacity term for the peak-off-peak period and another for the valley period, adjusting your consumption and adapting your capacity to different times of the day.
